Have You Noticed Anything Different?

Apparently illness is what it takes to get back to blogging. I think I just needed a break. There are a few things different here. You've obviously noticed the first: I am blogging again (and when I say again, I mean I am posting more than every two to three weeks, and am trying to getting back to updating here and there!) So here is a teaser of what is to come! Our cute little Collin is growing so fast, but really, I will go into that in another post. Also, I am going to try and update on Twitter, because apparently since my absence on Twitter it has become VERY popular. Odd, huh? To me it's like another form of status-update on facebook. But whatever! So here's one or two pics to get things going again (cause now I actually have some pictures to post!)
The first picture makes me kind of chuckle because Collin and his cousin Tatum are so funny together!!! Tatum loves to hold hands with his little cousin (not pictured here!) and they really are the best of buds!

(Here's a cute story today: I was holding both of them, and Collin was just staring at Tatum. All of a sudden he burst out smiling and giggling at Tatum! I think best friends are being made right here!) And even though Tatum can do more developmentally, Collin is the bigger guy (and is two months younger!) And yet he's the chubs of the two! The second picture is Collin just chillin', something he does quite frequently! So I promise I will post the sweet little milestones, because that is the point of blogging: keeping a record of life's events. The second part I love about this picture is it show's off Collin's beautiful eyes, especially his beautiful long eyelashes (I know, not fair huh?)

This is the EXACT reason people always call him a girl! So go ahead and take a closer look, because to these two adoring parents, we could not love this sweet guy more! Anyways, I'm off to bed! Back to the grind tomorrow!

Rotavirus.

Have I ever talked about why I believe so firmly in vaccinations? I won't jump on my soapbox right now, but I just want to express my gratitude for a little vaccine called Rotateq. And amazingly because our little Collin is up to date with his vaccines (specifically got his second scheduled dose of Rotateq this last Monday) that it kept him from getting what his Mom and Dad have had to go through. I kinda wish that they vaccinated adults because this virus has kicked our butts. Yup, Mike woke up this morning and even had to go and get a little IV therapy this afternoon because he could not keep anything inside or down. I'm not trying to gross anyone out, but I would just like to say that this was one of those days when two banos in our home would have been helpful. So hopefully we are through the worse, and thank-heavens for Mike's Mom for helping yesterday and today with our little guy. So off to bed again for some rest, and hopefully we will be back on track soon. So we will stay at home and try our best to not spread our yucky germs to everyone (although it is difficult to spread it unless you have poor hygeine, and I will sat that Avaguard and Purell are our friends!)

Slammed.

That is about how I feel. I went to the doctor today, (no, I do not have "the Swine") but I do have a heinous, and when I say a heinous I am saying a mean, mean, mean stomach flu! I feel about how I did when I had gallbladder attacks and my stomach even hurts so much at times that my pain is up there with when I had kidney stones. I'm really starting to think death is a better alternative. My body aches, my head throbs, and the joys of having a stomach flu have long worn out any of their welcome. Thank heavens for wonderful mother-in-laws and specially Mike. I just am hoping Collin stays healthy, because his temp was somewhat elevated this morning. Am I being a good patient? Nope. I do not want anything to drink or eat, but my sweet Mike is forcing me to eat and drink something. So am off to eat a little Jello (starting to feel a little sympathy to those patients of mine on clear diets) and need to go and take another anti-nausea pill, than need to get some sleep, maybe? So I will be back when I feel better, because everything is taking a lot of energy.

Happy Father's Day!!!

I just wanted to wish the Dad's out there (and those wishing or about to be Dad) a Happy, Happy day! And most especially a Happy Father's day to my amazing and loving Dad and amazing and loving husband! And of course a we-love-you and thank-you to a wonderful Father-in-law! These great men all play a hand in making my life wonderful and for them I am grateful. Tomorrow, I will post a nice long post about what we have been up to! So till tomorrow! (And I will go into more about HOW much I love my hubby and the wonderful Dad that he is! And BTW, Collin has been SUCH a Daddy's boy the last two days. He must know it is Papa's Day or something. Smart kid, huh?!

Hard Days

I knew that with not having a hard day in awhile, I was bound to have one. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about our sweet boy, but it still does not prevent the pain of missing your children. Lilly and Ryker may have been only alive for a combined total of 12 weeks, but I spent a total of 18 months pregnant with them. That means I spent nearly two years of my life loving my little ones. Someone you live and breathe for and love beyond all comprehension can never be forgotten. We were doubly blessed. Our lives are all the better because we were blessed to have Lilly and Ryker. I just miss dressing Lilly up, having her cry the little whimper to let us know that she wanted to be held. I miss going to see Ryker, having the time to myself to drive and arriving at Primary's and seeing the love of the nurses taking care of him. When he passed away, it was so strange because you still feel this pull to go to Primary's, but the little one you have lived and breathed for is no longer there. I miss wetting his hair down and giving him a little fohawk. I miss the smells of both. Lilly smelled of Aveeno baby lotion and formula. Ryker smelled like a hospital, but the medical smells were his. I still love the smell of the air fresheners of the bathrooms at Primary's, that also are used in one of the bathrooms of the hospital I work at. I also turn whenever I smell the scent of the soap I washed up with countless times. It seems silly the little tings that can trigger so many memories. I just know that this is one of those hard times, and I just need to grieve. But maybe tomorrow will be better. Who knows.
